Aromatherapy And Essential Oils

Aromatherapy is a generic term that refers to any of the various traditions that make use of
essential oils sometimes in combination with other alternative practices of medicine and certain
spiritual beliefs.

The Buddhist of Tibet developed their natural remedies from oils that came from the bark of trees,
stems, flowers and many other plants, including the roots or seeds. Over time, these remedies
became known as aromatherapy and were used to aid in healing the body and mind.

The people that came to know what certain types of plants worked best for specific illnesses,
were known as healers. Very much respected among their people, some were considered to be doctors; others were called Medicine Men, or Shamans.

The search for the properties of plants are still being researched today and is for the most
part the main ingredients for many medicines that we have today. These natural resources have
different properties that are used for healing, such as antibacterial, antibiotics, antiseptics,
and anti-fungi properties. Some of these natural remedies are also used for sleep aids, insect repellents, health and fitness. Drinking teas that are brewed from certain plants are also advertised to aid in healing, relaxation, and stress reduction.

Today aromatherapy is used in many different ways. Although essential oils are usually the best, because they are rubbed directly into the skin, you can buy it in sticks or in cone form also, which will still work. Some of these scents are used regularly, not just to make your home smell good, but to relieve stress or to change a person’s mood. There are scents used to increase sexual drives, others are used to heal conditions such as arthritis or colds. Plants like Aloe Vera are used to heal by rubbing the gel like substance onto the burn or cut. This results in healing faster and reduces the chances of having a scar from the injury.

Aromatherapy has become very popular in our culture, due to the result of such a holistic lifestyle
that we lead. We are just beginning to realize the importance of combining our spirit, our minds,
and our bodies, to achieve the best health we can. We seek answers for the illnesses and stresses that our modern life as given to us.

With the growing cost of health care and the quality of conventional medicine, we are beginning to turn to nature for help in the illnesses we have. We have to take the responsibility upon ourselves to educate ourselves to living more balanced lives.

Natural Acne Relief – Treat Your Acne Holistically

No doubt you will agree, that the worst thing about acne, is having it on your face. Of course having acne anywhere on your body is undesirable, but because everyone can see you face, it may make you feel embarrassed to talk to a medical professional about it, and at the same time, desperate to get rid of it.

Unfortunately, this desperation makes you a prime target for companies who want to sell you over-the-counter treatments and so called ‘cures‘ knowing you will pay anything just to get rid of your acne, and these treatments can be very expensive, sometimes costing hundreds of dollars.

Many of these treatments come with the promise that your acne will be cured in 30, 14, or even 5 days! No doubt you have come to realize that these are empty promises, and apart from the financial cost, there is the utter disappointment you must face when these treatments fail!

Because of the aforementioned problems, many acne sufferers are turning to natural acne relief in the hopes that this will solve their problem. Do these natural remedies work? Some of them can be very effective at alleviating acne and in some cases eliminating it altogether.

However, as effective as these remedies may be, they don’t get to the root of the problem. Acne is not a sign that you have bad skin, nor is it an allergy to some external factor. Acne is a message from your body telling you that something is wrong and it is very important that you treat the problem, not the symptom!

Your body has an natural internal balance that can become irregular due to many different factors. For example, if you have a hormonal imbalance, then that can result in problems, one of them being acne. Your body sends you this message to let you know that something is seriously wrong inside you. Now we are not talking life threatening here, but it is definitely something that can have a profound effect on your mental, emotional and spiritual health.

So what is the best way to address this imbalance? The most effective way to completely eliminate acne is to use holistic healing techniques. Holistic healing can be used for all sorts of ailments, including anxiety, eczema, depression, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, and even cancer.

Holistic treatment is not an alternative to conventional health care, but in some cases it can be more effective. This is certainly the case when it comes to treating acne, because acne is a symptom of an internal imbalance that needs to be addressed. Over-the-counter acne products do not address this imbalance.

A persons physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health is taking into consideration as well as their interaction with the environment. A persons lifestyle also comes into play. Do you get enough sleep, do you exercise regularly, do you have a proper diet? These factors are also taken into consideration.

So, holistic treatment enables a proper diagnosis and gets to the root of the problem, resulting in your natural balance being restored and a healing of your acne from the inside.
